Your home stays yours.
Your video, recordings and face data stay on your OttoSentry device at home. When something happens, a small snapshot and a description are sent to our cloud so we can alert your phone. They're deleted after 30 days, or sooner if you choose. You can download or delete all your data from the app at any time.

Who can see your footage
Only you and the people you invite, with roles you choose: owner, admin, member or viewer.
Your installer or OttoSentry support can see it only if you grant access for a set time, from 1 hour to 7 days. You can cancel it at any time, and every access is recorded.
Built to be secure
No open doors.
Nothing is opened on your router; your devices only make outgoing connections.
Every device has its own key.
If a device is lost or stolen, remove it and it's locked out at once.
Encrypted connections.
Everything that leaves your home is encrypted.
Walled off, and tested.
Each customer's data is kept separate, and automated tests try to break that wall on every change we make.
Optional cloud features
Features that need more computing power, such as search by description, are clearly labelled, explained before you switch them on, and can be switched off at any time.
